1. Our Services

Origin Abyssinia provides private tour and expedition services in Ethiopia. By enquiring or booking a tour with us, you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings and Payment

• A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
• The remaining balance is due when you arrive in Ethiopia.
• We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal.
• All prices are shown in US Dollars (USD).

3. Cancellation Policy

• 30+ days before tour: Full refund of your deposit.
• 15–29 days before tour: 50% of deposit refunded.
• Less than 15 days: No refund of deposit.
• If we cancel the tour for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

4. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for obtaining a valid Ethiopian visa before travel.
• You are responsible for purchasing travel insurance (strongly recommended).
• You must inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements before the tour.
• You must follow the instructions of your guide at all times for your safety.

5. Our Responsibilities

• We will provide the services described in your confirmed itinerary.
• We reserve the right to make changes to itineraries for safety reasons.
• We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, political events, or acts of nature.

6. Health and Safety

We prioritize your safety on every tour. Some destinations (e.g. Danakil Depression) carry inherent risks. We will inform you of all safety requirements before your tour. You participate at your own risk and must sign a liability waiver for high-risk destinations.

7. Photography

Always ask permission before photographing local people, especially in tribal communities. We will guide you on the appropriate customs for each destination.
