Day 1
Addis Ababa to Awash National Park
Drive from Addis Ababa to Awash National Park, passing changing landscapes from highlands to open savannah. Arrive at the park and begin your first game drive to spot wildlife such as oryx, warthogs, and baboons. Enjoy the unique scenery of acacia woodland and volcanic features inside the park.
Overnight stay at lodge or campsite near Awash.
Day 2
Full Day Safari in Awash & Ali Dege
Start early for a full-day wildlife exploration across Awash and the nearby Alledeghi plains. Search for animals such as kudu, gazelles, ostriches, and, with luck, predators like hyenas. The open landscape makes it easier to see wildlife compared to dense forests.
Return to your lodge or camp and relax after the safari.
Day 3
Awash Falls & Return to Addis Ababa
Visit the beautiful Awash Falls, where the Awash River drops into a deep gorge surrounded by palm trees. Take time to enjoy the scenery and spot monkeys and birds around the river area. Begin your drive back to Addis Ababa with scenic stops along the way.
Arrive in the capital and end your safari experience.
